School Meals Program Update

Dear Cascade Families,

We are excited to share that our students will receive free meals for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year.

House Bill 1238 (HB 1238) requires school districts to provide meals at no cost to students enrolled at elementary schools where 30% or more of children are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. This means all students at the following schools are now able to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of their eligibility for free or reduced-price meals.

To ensure that we can continue to offer these meals, it is important that families complete the free and reduced meal applications each year.

We encourage all families to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure that their children have access to nutritious meals every day. If you have any questions or need assistance with the meal application process, please contact your school’s main office.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter. We look forward to a healthy and successful school year ahead.

Sincerely,

Owen Gonder
Principal
